All athletes, coaches, and guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from all hotels and competition venues.  Please verify with your hotel if transportation services are provided to and from the airport.  If transportation is not provided please review the options listed below.

Airport Transportation

(1) Metro Airport Direct offers services from various downtown locations to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) Terminal C. Service runs every 30 minutes, seven days a week, between the hours of 4:50 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. One way trips are $4.50 per person.  For more information, contact (713) 635-4000 or visit www.ridemetro.org.

(3) SuperShuttle is offering AAU athletes and guests a discount rate on airport transportation.  To make a reservation click here and enter the online group discount code YTPS7.  Discount is valid for travel July 20 – August 10, 2012 for Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU).

Upon arrival to IAH airport: Claim your luggage at baggage claim.  Proceed to the SuperShuttle ticket counter located in Terminal A, B, C, D, and E.  Identify yourself to the agent and provide the confirmation number for your reservation. 

Upon arrival to HOU airport:  Claim your luggage at baggage claim.  Proceed to the SuperShuttle ticket counter located on the left side of the exiting corridor.  Identify yourself to the agent and provide the confirmation number for your reservation. 

(4) Taxi cab fares in downtown Houston are a flat rate of $6.00.  This $6 fare will apply anywhere within the Central Business District, bounded by Interstate 45, Interstate 10 and U.S. 59.

METRORail

METRORail is a fast, convenient way to travel to Downtown, the Museum District and to the Texas Medical Center. The rate is $1.25 per person.  Rail tickets can be purchased using cash, a credit card, or a debit card at any METRO ticket vending machine. For more information, click here.
